On-Campus selection:
Short listing of students on the basis of grades.
Interview (technical+ HR)
Duration: Half an hour (varies from person to person)
In the interview basic questions related to the branch and applications are asked. (For ex in 2011, the civil engineering students were asked questions on the types of foundation for bridges). Apart from this, questions are also asked from the industrial training projects done between the third year and the fourth year.
Off-Campus selection procedure:
An all India test is conducted for the post of engineer trainees.
Eligibility: Only first division graduate engineers can apply.
Time: Notification is issued in February. (Interested candidates may visit the official website or refer to the rozgar samachar.)
Application Procedure: Applications are submitted online.
Exam: Exams are conducted in March.
Written test is followed by an interview.
Training Period: 1 Year (After completion of training a final aptitude test is conducted again)
Bond/ Service Agreement: A service agreement bond of Rs. 1 lakh is signed. Trainees have to serve the company for three years after completion of training.
Package: 6.3 lakh per annum (during training)
11.7 lakh per annum (after training)

Work Environment:
The training period consists of classroom teaching and onsite training. For the first three months the training is restricted to classroom teaching. The next eight months are earmarked for field training. The last one month is the doubt clearing session.
