There is good news for IIT-JEE aspirants as the number of IITs has increased in the last few years. The government has come up with eight new IITs. The decision to establish new IITs along with IIMs and Central Universities was taken in 2008. The first IIT to become operational in this category was IIT-Bhubneshwar. Its mentor institute is IIT Kharagpur.
Almost all the new IITs have become functional and are doing well as a start. The coming times will see them creating their own distinct place. Students are also upbeat about the prospect and hope to become part of the grand new story of the phenomenon called the “IITs: Indian Institutes of Technology”.
The new IITs are in a nascent stage and are still being operationalised. The number of courses being run there are still less in number than the ones run at the old IITs. Here we give a list of the undergraduate courses at the new IITs.
