SUMMER RESEARCH INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME at NTU
The Summer Research Internship (SRI) Programme is a university wide Research Programme that invites students from across the world fostering strong cultural exchange among the overseas undergraduates.
About the Programme
Duration: It is an eight week programme/ project work at NTU along with presentation after the completion of the programme.
SRI Allowance: The interns will be given allowance during the project/programme.
The SRI grant is tenable only for the duration of the programme at NTU. Each grant shall cover the following:
* Tuition fees.
* One-off allowance amounting up to $3,000
Accommodation
Applicants should arrange for their own accommodation. e.g. rent rooms outside the campus.
ELIGIBILTY
* Open to new student who has not been to Singapore previously.
* Open to all nationalities who are currently full-time students in an overseas university.
Applicants preferably studying in these targeted countries:
Brazil, Mexico and South Africa, Central & Eastern Europe (e.g. Hungary, Czech Republic, Poland)
Germany, Korea & Japan, Middle East (e.g. Turkey), USA
* Students should be able to commit to a minimum internship period of two months
* Applicants should possess good academic track records
* Applicants must have completed a certain number of semesters in their overseas universities by the time they attend the SRI programme.

i. Applicants who are in a 3-year Bachelor programme must have completed 4 semesters in their study OR
ii. Applicants who are in a 4-year Bachelor programme must have completed 6-8 semesters in their study OR
iii. Applicants who are in a Direct Master’s Programme must have completed 8-10 semesters of study

APPLICATION PERIOD
The online application portal will open from 01-August-2011 to 30-October-2011.
Applicants are advised to complete their online application and mail their hard-copies application and supporting documents before the last day of submission (15-November-2011) to Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU). Please note that late application will not be considered.
Outcome will be announced in April-2012 via SRI website – SRI Announcement. Successful applicants will be notified by their choice of School, and all future correspondences with you will be through your choice of School.
