The MP PET or the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Test is an all India examination conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (Vyavasayik Pariksha Mandal) or the Vyapam (MPPEB) Bhopal.
PURPOSE
The exam or the pre engineering test is conducted for admission into the various under-graduate engineering and architecture courses i.e. B.E./B.Tech and B.Arch. /B. Planning in different institutes across Madhya Pradesh.
HISTORY
The MP PET is being conducted by the Madhya Pradesh Vyavsayik Pariksha Mandal (Vyapam) since 1981.
EXAM TIME & RESULT
The MP PET is conducted in the month of May and results are declared by June.
ELIGIBILITY
All the students who are in class 12th or have passed class 12th are eligible to sit in this exam.
The maximum age limit for students is 21 years on October 1 at the time of admission. This is relaxable by three years for SC (Scheduled Caste)/ST (Scheduled Tribe) candidates.
The student should also have secured 50% marks in aggregate in 12th boards. Also he/she should have passed the qualifying exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects.
The candidates also have to fulfill the domicile requirements. (Also read: Domicile requirements for MPPET)
NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS
There is no restriction on the number of attempts by a candidate as long as age permits.
EXAM STRUCTURE
The exam consists of two papers; Paper1 and Paper 2. Each paper has 100 questions.
