The ICFAI University (Institute of Chartered & Financial Analysts of India) conducts its own Engineering Admission Entrance Test (ATIT).
History
The ICFAI University was established in the year 1984 by the initiative of N.J. Yasaswy, Besant C. Raj and Dr. Prasanna Chandra, the Director of Centre for Financial Management. The university has separate institutions in different states and offers a variety of courses in fields such as engineering, education, finance, management and law.
Purpose
The ATIT is conducted for admission into the undergraduate engineering course or the B.Tech. Apart from this, candidates are also given admission on the basis of AIEEE score or the scores of the state level engineering entrance exams.
Exam Time & Result
The ATIT is conducted every year in the month of May and results are declared by June.
Eligibility
• All those who are appearing in class 12th boards or have passed it are eligible to sit in the exam.
• They must also have secured 50% marks in each of these subjects; Maths, Physics, Chemistry and English.
• Those who secure at least 50% in aggregate with a pass in each of the above mentioned subjects are also eligible to apply.
• The candidates must also fulfill the minimum age requirements as prescribed by the respective boards from which they are appearing.
Number of Attempts
There is no restriction on the number of attempts as is evident in case of AIEEE and IIT-JEE.
Exam Structure
The exam consists of a three hour objective type paper having three sections; Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. 60 questions are asked from each topic.
