Uktech Counselling FAQs
We have tried to address few important questions and doubts that students are asking us via telephonic counselling. However if you have any other query to make, please ask here. And we will add your question with the answer to this list as soon as possible if it’s worth it.
1. Will the fees be refunded if I don’t join the institute alloted to me?
Ans. Yes, but only the advance admission fees(which is Rs 5000/- for Gen category Rs. 2000/- for SC. ST and physically handicapped candidates). The counselling fees Rs 1000/- is non refundable.
2. Which college at what rank?
Ans. The trend changes every year and anyone cannot tell you with confidence that what will be the closing rank for which seat this year. And to be frank, at this point it is not very important.The best thing to do at the moment is to fill up the choice sheet according to order you prefer. You can find information about all the branches from “Branch Info” section of this site and also check out our “College Ratings“. That would probably will be quite helpful in choosing the branch and college of your choice.
3. I am not from Uttrakhand. Am I eligible for Uktech counselling?
Ans. Yes. You can take admission through All India Quota. Check out the availability of seats in each branch & college at http://uk.gov.in/uktu/documents/btech-college-final-uk.htm
4. Should I apply for second round of counselling?

5.I am not able to register into my account. Please help.
Ans. Please check out that you have filled all the details correctly while making the registration. And ensure that the password you choose is in correct format. Password must be of 8-13 characters, must have one special character, one upper case character, one lower case character & one numeric value. Example- Abcd@123 etc
