The ENAT or The EPSI National Admission Test is an online entrance exam conducted by the EPSI i.e. the Education Promotion society for India.
History
The Manipal University was formerly known as the Manipal Institute of Higher Education or MAHE. Its history dates back to 1957 when the endeavours of Dr Tonse Madhava Anantha Pai bore fruit and the engineering college came into existence. It became a deemed university in 1993 and today has about twenty institutions imparting education in different fields. The ENAT scores are used by many institutes including the prestigious Manipal University.
Purpose
The ENAT is conducted for admission into the undergraduate & post graduate programmes of engineering, management and medical studies.
Exam Time & Result
The ENAT is conducted in the month of April-May and the scores are immediately revealed to the candidates as soon as the exam is over. However, the merit list of candidates gets ready by May end.
Eligibility
The candidates must fulfill the below mentioned criteria to be eligible for the exam:
• The student must have secured 50% marks in aggregate in Class 12th.
• They should have passed class 12th from a recognised board with Maths, Physics and Chemistry as their subjects.
Number of Attempts
There is no restriction on the number of attempts.
Exam Structure
The exam consists of two papers; Paper1 and Paper2. Both are conducted objective type question papers. Paper 1 has three subjects; Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Physics and Chemistry has 60 questions each while Maths has 80 questions.
Paper 2 is General English which has 60 questions.
Marking
There is no negative marking and for each correct answer one mark is awarded.
