The CBSE has launched its mock online test for students who will appear in the AIEEE online test in 2012.
The online test had generated many doubts among the students regarding the format and other details. Therefore, the board has launched the mock test to give students a chance to get acquainted with the new system. Many coaching centres were also advising their students against the format.
In 2011, when the online test was introduced, there were very few takers for the mode. 2012 has seen considerable increase in numbers. The mock test that has been loaded on the server has the exact format as the one that the student will get to see in the exam.
The students can log on to website and give the exam as per their convenience. They can give it either on the website or can download it and give it when they want. The purpose of the mock test is to increase the comfort level of the students.
Meanwhile, the exam conducting body has also decided to entertain requests for changes in the application form for certain categories. Students who have already opted for the offline exam method can now change it to online method.
From December 23 such requests will be entertained. However, changing from an online exam centre to offline is not allowed. Students can also change details regarding their payment mode or caste category, if there has been a mistake while filling the form earlier.
The online test also allows the students to view the question paper in both the languages. This facility is not available in the offline exam.
